The shooting of young hero Naga Chaitnaya’s new flick Autonagar Surya, which was launched in Hyderabad on October 6 on the auspicious day of Dussehra, was stopped by Telangana activists on Friday morning at Jeedimetla.
According to sources, when the shooting was progressing at Shapur near Jeedimetla on the outskirts of Hyderabad, a few Telangana activists reached at the shooting spot and demanded the unit to stop the shooting. The unit immediately called off the shooting and left the spot without any arguments with the T-activists.
Autonagar Surya, set in the backdrop of Vijayawada rowdyism, is said to be a political film, which is about an auto driver who becomes the voice of the voiceless. It is directed by critically-acclaimed Devakatta and produced by K. Atchi Reddy under the banner of Max India Production.
